“The implementation of the rural revitalization strategy creates massive opportunities for the development of China’s rural sport industry, while the latter gives strong impetus to the former.” In the view of Zhong Gaoming who is a member of the Committee of the CPPCC of Hunan Province, there are vast spaces for the construction of fitness facilities in the countryside which is a suitable place for fitness. Moreover, the development of the sport industry also plays a key role in boosting the transformation of the rural economy and ensures attention is paid to the protection of environment which is the most valuable assets of all.

Zhong Gaoming suggested that the modernization of the sport industry should be leveraged to continuously improve the rural public sport service system. It is necessary to increase investment for accelerated construction of sport facilities, and build sport facilities that cater to the needs of rural people for fitness; make the grassroots work system, management system and operation mechanism of the sport industry more standardized and scientific, and promote the concept of fitness for all; construct new facilities and improve existing ones in an orderly manner based on the actual needs of the villages. Zhong Gaoming said, "We should help the vast number of villagers gain access to professional fitness equipment and fully leverage the unique role of the sport industry in rural revitalization."

When fitness facilities are completed, the next question deals with how to promote the concept of fitness across rural areas and benefit every household? Zhong Gaoming suggested that a network of grassroots sport organizations should be developed to promote and organize fitness activities for rural people. By establishing a reasonable incentive mechanism, building a network of grassroots organizations, standardizing organizational and management methods and systems, and improving fitness facilities, we can gradually promote the socialization, standardization and development of grassroots sport organizations

The foregoing proposals will be put into action. Zhong Gaoming said that this year, relevant government departments will also fund the establishment of 100 basketball stadiums with modular flooring for the former revolutionary base areas, ethnic minority areas and poor areas across the province, which will contribute to the rural revitalization strategy and improving people’s life. It is learned that in the past 10 years, Zhong Gaoming has been ready to help the elderly and the disabled, donating to charitable projects including educational ones; and more than 4,000 poor students have been benefited. He said, “I’m glad to engage in charitable projects, and it is my mission to always remain hardworking, pioneering and enterprising." At present, Zhong Gaoming is still contributing to charitable projects.
